Our application collects and processes only the minimal data required to provide you with timetable and announcement updates:

  • Roll Number & Academic Division: Provided by you to load your personalized course schedule.
  • Gmail Messages (Notice Sync): If you choose to connect your university Google account, we access only the messages/announcements from verified academic sources (such as MBA Prog, Placecomm, and official student office senders) to display notices inside your dashboard.
  • Local Storage: Stored directly on your browser/device (like attendance tracker marks and room overrides) to maintain your settings across visits.

3. How We Use Google User Data

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We do NOT transmit, store, or share your Gmail messages or personal information with any third-party servers. All fetched notices are cached locally inside your browser's local storage.
  • We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your data to advertising platforms or any external parties.

4. Data Security

Since our application operates client-side, your Google OAuth access token and local modifications (like course absences) are saved exclusively on your own device. We implement safe storage standards to secure local access. You can instantly delete all local data by clicking "Disconnect Gmail" or logging out.

5. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense

WeSync uses Google AdSense to serve non-intrusive advertisements to support app infrastructure. Google, as a third-party advertising vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our app based on users' visits to our website or other websites on the Internet.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our app and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
